Private Art Mentorship
A personal space to develop your art, deepen your creative voice, and become the artist you know yourself to be.
There is a particular kind of growth that happens when you have someone beside you who can truly see your work.
Not to tell you what your art should be.
Not to give you a formula to follow.
But to help you see what is already emerging — and to support you in developing the skill, confidence, clarity and courage to bring it fully into form.
Private Art Mentorship is an intimate 1:1 space for artists who want to take their creative practice seriously and develop their own artistic language.
We work with your actual paintings, ideas and creative process, while also looking at the inner patterns that can keep you from creating freely.
This is both practical and personal.
We can talk about composition, colour, materials, technique and developing a body of work — and we can also talk about perfectionism, self-doubt, comparison, creative blocks and the courage to trust your own vision.
The intention is not to make you paint like me.
It is to help you become more fully yourself as an artist.
What we can explore together
Your mentorship will be shaped around where you are and what you want to create.
Depending on your needs, our work may include:
Developing your artistic voice
Discovering what feels uniquely yours and learning to recognise the visual language that is already present in your work.
Painting & technique
Composition, colour, materials, layering, mark-making, creating depth, working with references, abstraction and realism — depending on your practice.
Creative direction
Understanding where your work wants to go, developing ideas and deciding what to explore next.
Developing a body of work
Moving beyond individual paintings and beginning to see connections, themes and possibilities across your work.
Feedback on your paintings
Looking closely at your work together and identifying what is working, what could be developed and where a painting may want to go next.
Creative blocks
Working through perfectionism, overthinking, comparison, fear of failure and the tendency to abandon a painting before it has had the chance to become itself.
Trusting your intuition
Learning to listen to your own artistic knowing while continuing to develop your technical skill and visual discernment.
Your life as an artist
Creating a sustainable relationship with your art rather than waiting for the “right” mood, inspiration or circumstances to appear.
This is for you if…
You already paint or create and feel that there is more wanting to come through your work.
Perhaps you:
-
feel ready to take your art more seriously
-
want to develop a recognisable personal style
-
have many ideas but struggle to bring them into finished work
-
feel uncertain about where your art is going
-
want honest, thoughtful feedback on your paintings
-
want to develop a cohesive body of work
-
find yourself comparing your work to other artists
-
have technical questions but don't want to lose the intuitive aspect of creating
-
want support staying committed to your creative practice
-
are ready to move beyond waiting for permission to call yourself an artist
You don't need to have everything figured out.
You don't need to know exactly what your “style” is.
And you don't need to arrive with a perfectly defined goal.
We can discover some of that together.
How it works
This is a private 1:1 mentorship over 3 or 6 months.
3-Month Mentorship
12 weekly private sessions
Each session is approximately 60–90 minutes, held online via Zoom.
Between sessions, you can share your work, questions, ideas and progress with me through our private communication channel, so the mentorship doesn't disappear the moment we leave the Zoom room.
6-Month Mentorship
24 weekly private sessions
Each session is approximately 60–90 minutes, held online via Zoom.
The longer container gives us more space to experiment, develop a body of work, revisit paintings, deepen your artistic language and allow your practice to evolve over time.
Both options include ongoing communication and support between sessions.
Our sessions
There isn't a fixed curriculum.
Your art is the curriculum.
Some weeks we might spend the entire session looking at paintings and talking about what is happening visually.
Another week we might work through an idea you've been carrying for months.
We might discuss composition and colour.
We might look at why you keep abandoning certain paintings.
We might talk about how to move a body of work forward.
We might explore what you are afraid to paint.
And sometimes the most important thing will simply be to have someone beside you while you take the next step.
The mentorship responds to where you actually are.
My approach
I believe technical skill and intuition don't have to be opposites.
You can learn about composition, colour, materials and visual structure while remaining deeply connected to your own inner knowing.
My role is not to impose my aesthetic on your work.
I want to help you see more clearly.
To notice what is already there.
To strengthen what is yours.
To challenge you when you are playing small.
And to give you practical tools when something needs to be learned.
Ultimately, I want you to become increasingly able to look at your own work and know:
“I see what this needs.”
That kind of artistic independence is far more valuable than endlessly looking outside yourself for the next answer.
A mentorship for your actual art
You are welcome to bring your paintings into our sessions.
We can look at finished works, works in progress, sketches, ideas, references, colour studies or simply the thoughts you have about where your work wants to go.
You don't need to prepare a presentation.
You don't need to make your work look impressive.
Bring the real thing.
The messy painting.
The painting you hate.
The painting you secretly love but are afraid is too strange.
The idea you haven't told anyone about.
The work that feels like it might be leading somewhere.
That is where the interesting work begins.
This is not a traditional art course
There are no modules you need to complete.
No prescribed style.
No requirement to imitate a particular artist.
No formula for becoming successful.
And no expectation that your art should look like mine.
This is personal mentorship, which means the work is shaped around you, your artistic development and the body of work you are creating.
About me
I am a professional artist and a Milan Art Institute trained fine artist.
My own practice moves between intuitive creation, mixed media, oil painting, abstraction and more representational imagery.
Over the years, I have become deeply interested not only in how a painting is made, but in the relationship between the artist and the work — the way we see, interpret, choose, trust, abandon, return and ultimately bring something invisible into form.
That is the space I love to share with other artists.

A note before you join
Because this is a private mentorship, I keep the number of artists I work with limited.
I want to be able to genuinely see your work, remember where we left off and be present with your development.
This isn't a high-volume programme.
It is a relationship with your art, with someone walking beside you for a period of time.
If you feel that this is the kind of support you've been looking for, I would love to meet you there.
