Pachamama

Pachamama is the energy, representation of an archetype of Mother Nature, Divine Goddess, Mother Goddess. It is the life force, powerful pure, raw, unadaltrieted. It is a creative and organizing principle of everything that exists - "the inscrutable force of nature"
 
 
This was a very new and experimental painting to me. I challenged myself to go as far with the drawing as I could using only charcoal and raw pigments and then I added oils on top to create a jewel tone and depth to it.
